Thank You from the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity

The Chuck Jones Big Draw was an out-of-this-world success! The Chuck Jones Center for Creativity would like to extend a most heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to show their support and exercise their creative genius at this year’s event. Thank you as well to those who donated to our silent auction, making it one of our most impressive offerings yet!

We are thrilled to be furthering our mission by fostering creativity & innovation while generating crucial funds for our many creativity programs. By attending and/or donating to the Chuck Jones Big Draw, you have supported the creativity & brain health of school-aged children, young adults on the Autism spectrum, aging seniors and adults, and so many more. Without generous people like you, we would not be able to do what we do. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

We’d also like to extend a thank you to our amazing staff of teaching artists and volunteers who donated their time to bring Planet X to life. We’d like to thank: Lee Fairchild for crafting clay critters at the creature creation station, Nick Tafarella for guiding step-by-step at the space bags booth, John Gaydos & Doug Lothers for their expertise at the stop-motion & animation station, Cyndi Burgess for providing lift-off at the space ship making station, Maddie Peckenpaugh for making “cents” at the rocket bank station, Naylene Justis for overseeing creativity at the observational drawing booth, Valerie & Jessica Kausen for spreading creativity at the spin-art station, Frank Howa for teaching terrific toy making, Ben Olson for picking up signals at the space helmet station, and Debbie & Jejo Sleeper for magnificence at the mask making station. Thank you also to our acting Executive Director Denise Dion-Scoyni, Susan Palcsik, Madison Ranahan, Sue Ninomiya-Lane, and Sophie Chen for their above & beyond support at the art activity, raffle, and check-in booths!

We hope you had a blast exploring the creativity stations of Planet X with Marvin Martian and his cohorts! There are few things as wonderful as seeing kids and adults alike creating magnificent space-themed artwork while sporting a tinfoil space helmet. Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you next year! Until then, may your creativity continue to reach beyond the cosmos!
